Jacob Fiesel was born some time between 1768 and 1771 near Stasburg, Shenandoah County, VA, the son of Elizabeth Summer and Hans Michael Fiesel.  In the early part of the 19th century, Jacob moved his family to Violet Twp., Fairfield County, OH, near the Franklin County border.  There he died intestate on September 16, 1827, and three separate probate cases were filed to settle his estate.  The first (Case #113.5) was filed May 15, 1815 naming the minor heirs of Jacob Feezel.  Henry Feezel was appointed guardian of Jacob and George Feezel, minor children of Jacob Feezel.  The second case (Case #520.5) was filed in 1826 making John Rickets guardians of Mary Feezel, widow of Jacob Feezel, and his minor children, viz. Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Barbara, Samuel, Isaac, and David.  The third and final judgement (Case #610) was filed in 1830 listing the contents of his estate.  Mary Feasel, widow of Jacob Feasel, and Jacob M. Allen were named executors.  George, Henry, and Jacob Feasel purchased property from the estate.
