Thanks to Dale Patterson of the Brooke County GenWeb Page, we have found a will in the name of Christopher Miers. Though not proven, this seems like a good matchup and link for the parents of the Miers clan that settled Brooke County some time after the Revolution. The will abstract reads:
MIERS, Christopher, of Holliday's Cove
Names: Wife - Mary Miers
Sons: Jacob (minor), John, Henry, Simon.
Daughters: Catherine Miers (minor), Mary Miers (minor),
Sarah
Miers, Elizabeth Miers.

Henry Myers, above, is mentioned in two early Brooke County court cases:
(May 1797-August 1798)
(pg 129) At a Called Court for the examination of Henry Myers
held for Brooke County on Monday the 2nd day of April 1798.

In the Brooke County Court Order Book #2, (Sept. 1798-August 1799):
Page 240, in the case of Arthur Brown vs Henry Myers, it says: This
day came the plaintiff and his attorney and the defendant being called
failed to appear or reply. The property and the plaintiff having
proved to the satisfaction of this Court that the defendant owes to him
the sum of five pounds three shillings & nine pence of the value of
13 dollars & 83 cents thereupon the Court gave judgment against the
defendant for the debt aforesaid and costs and it further appearing to
the Court by oath of John Myers who was summoned as a garnishee that the
sheriff has attached sundrie articles in his the said John's possession
which is the property of the said Henry, ordered that the property so attached
in the hands of the said John be condemned to satisfy this judgment.
Henry appears on the 1810 census of Brooke County, VA with three sons under 10, one son 17-25, himself aged 26-45, one daughter under ten, and his wife aged 26-45. There is also a Jonathan Myers listed on the 1810 census with one son under 10, himself aged 17-25, and his wife aged 17-25. This Jonathan appears to be Henry's recently-married son. He later appears in the Muster Roll of the BROOKE COUNTY LIGHT INFANTRY in service in 1812 as "Sargeant John Myers".
Henry appears again on the 1820 census living in Wellsburg, with two sons under 10, one son 11-16, one son 17-18, and one son 19-24, himself aged above 45; three daughters under 10, one daughter 11-16, and one daughter 19-24. Some of these may be grandchildren, and the male 19-24 his son, the female 19-24 a daughter in law. Johnathan appears here as well with himself, aged 25-45 and his wife, aged 19-24. Apparently his young son had died and he sired no other children.
Henry Myers, deceased, is again mentioned in a Brooke County Probate estate inventory dated May 15, 1824.
Jacob Myers, above, may be the Jacob who emigrated
to Perry County, OH in the 1820s, then Sandusky County, OH. He had sons
Samuel b. 1811, David, Daniel, and Henry.
The Descendants of John and Margaret (Unknown) Myers

John's place of origin is unknown but believed to have been Virginia. The 1850 census lists John's wife Margaret as born in VA. Catherine, Peter and Mary, John and Margaret's firstborns, however, are listed on the 1850 census as born in PA. We all know how unreliable these sources can be however, so both options remain open. We know for certain that John was in Brooke County by 1798, and that his children following that date were likely born there.
John's actual date of death is also not known. Though he is likely buried in Thorn Twp. Cemetery next to his wife Margaret, he has no marker. No records exist from the cemetery for that early a date.
