Personal: John J. Droz, Jr. was born 3/29/46 and is in very good health.
Married for 30+ years to former Elaine R. Anken (from Rome, NY).
Resides at Winthrop Road, Brantingham Lake.

Education: Boston College: B.S. in Physics 1968, B.S. in Mathematics 1968.
Participated in several sports, social, and cultural activities.
Was awarded Boston College Presidential Scholarship for four years.

Real Estate: Owns and has renovated numerous investment properties, which he began accumulating in 1971. Due to these investments, he was able to retire from industry in 1979 (age 33). John is a sought after public speaker who has given many talks on real estate investing at places ranging from Kiwanis Clubs, to Regional meetings of the NY State Association of Realtors. Has taught a widely acclaimed course on "How to Succeed in Real Estate Investing."

John co-founded the "new" Faith Properties (now Coldwell Banker) in 1979, which grew to be one of the largest real estate companies in central New York... In 1984 he obtained his broker’s license and subsequently began Adirondack Real Escapes.

In these positions he has been recognized throughout upstate New York as exceptionally well-versed in all aspects of real estate investing, with particular skills in financial planning, taxes, and 1031 exchanges.

Has been an active Greater Utica Board of Realtors (GUBR) participant on such committees as: Professional Standards, All Realtor Board, Realtor Associate, etc. He was recognized by the GUBR in their first ever "Oliver" Award as the only salesperson in the area to sell over $1 million dollars of Real Estate in 1982. John has also been on the editorial review board of the national magazine Real Estate Today, circulation of some 1 million.

Presently his prime area of activity in real estate lies in marketing waterfront properties in the Brantingham Lake (NY) community... He also represents investors who buy discounted mortgages.

Some Other Memberships and Activities: Interests range from music (plays piano, organ and trombone), golf, bridge, water and cross-country skiing, trail-bike riding, Ultralight airplanes and boating, to extensive reading and travel. Some present and past non-business associations are with: Tyrolean Ski Club, AOPA and EAA (pilot groups), Brantingham Community Association, Mohawk Valley Sports Car Club, High School Teacher for Confraternity of Christian Doctrine, Utica Zoo, Utica Bridge Club, Knights of Columbus, Boston College Admissions, Little League baseball team manager, Utica Civic Music Society, Players Theater, church parish council, South Lewis School EAP Committee, St. Peter’s School Board, Foster Parent, Big Brother, and member of Mensa.
