Capital Transactions is a small computer consulting firm that has specialized in assisting businesses that utilize Macintosh computers, since 1984.

In 1988, one of our clients (an upstate New York law firm) asked us to automate the debt collection part of their business. At the time, they had one large (thousands of debtors) customer. (They now have several additional customers.)

After searching the software marketplace for Mac (and IBM compatible) debt collection applications, it was determined that no existing product met all of their needs. To solve their problem, we created a new program for them: Total Collections. To this day they have continuously and exclusively used this application for all their debt collection activities.

The purpose of Total Collections is to enable any business to be able to do a professional job with its own collections. Similarly, this program can be used by law firms or by small (less than 12 customers) agencies to accomplish the same objective.
