Business Accounting AAS provides a general education and specialized training in accounting and business management. Graduates are prepared to accept entry level accounting positions in industry, service organizations, retail establishments, and government agencies.
Business Administration AAS is for students planning careers in the areas of marketing, sales, retailing, public relations, advertising, personnel, customs, banking and office management.
Business Office Technology AAS trains students in word processing, speedwriting, English usage and decisionmaking for careers in office administration. Advisement options within the program offer specific courses for those interested in executive secretarial positions in legal, medical, public relations, and computer application offices.
Certificates CCC also offers certificate programs in Banking, Stenography and Word/information Processing. Certificates are more specialized and take less time to complete than an associate degree and offer job training skills for immediate employment.
Criminal justice AAS prepares students to work in law enforcement, adult or juvenile corrections, probation and parole, and private or industrial security. This course of study can also be used as a first step toward a career in law or counseling.
Community Service Assistant AAS prepares students for careers in the field of social work, special education, child care and other community services. Course work with an emphasis in social science is combined with field experiences in local agencies to offer the student a broadly based education.
Individual Studies AAS, AA or AS This program of study is primarily for the adult learner who, because of prior work and learning experiences, college transfer credits or specific career goals, desires a flexible course of study tailored to meet specific interest and needs. Course concentration is divided among the Humanities, Social Sciences and Math/Science disciplines with a large number of free electives. This structure enables full- or part-time students to build their own individually planned college degree program to pursue employment after graduation or to transfer.
Medical Laboratory Technology AAS graduates find employment within the laboratories of hospitals, physicians offices, health care centers and industry. Students successfully completing the program are eligible to take the National Accrediting Agency's certification exam for Clinical Laboratory Technicians and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists' exam for National Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
Nursing AAS Graduates are eligible to take the Registered Professional Nursing Licensing Examination in New York State. CCC graduates have an outstanding passing percentage for this exam and are highly regarded by their employers.
