Annual Murder Mystery

INFO at 518/523/-2474, ext: 139.

Everyone is looking forward to the new school year....well everyone but Mr. Stone, the school principal who fell off the school building in the Lake Placid High School's Sixth Annual Fall Mystery Drama, "Playing Dumb." The school year takes a few quick twist when Mr. Stone's ghosts coerces one of the janitors (the sane one) to help him find his muderer when the audience participation play takes to the stage on September 17, at 7 p.m. in the Lake Placid Central School Auditorium. Micah Demers plays the unwilling janitor who is forced to solve the mystery, with the help of audience, while Mr. Stone's ghost plays golf. Stone (played by Scott Delahant) has no choice but to force the janitor to help him, since he was pushed and didn't see the murderer. The janitor's job is not easy, besides solving a murder for a ghost who would rather play golf with Ben Hogan, he has to clean up after accidents in home economics and exploding recipes in the cafeteria. The potential suspects are: the science teacher and his protoge played by Thomas Small and Elizabeth Dietrich, respectively, the kindergarten teacher (Jessica O'Leary), the would be dance instructor (McKenzie LaBrake), the janitor's boss (Ryan Garso), a dillusional co-worker (Liam Kennelly), one of or both of the students in detention (Erica Retrosi and Sarah Chilson). "Playing Dumb" is directed by Peggy Plank and was written by local playwright Gem*Boy. This year's production will revolve around a fictitious high school in a fictitious 'Olympic Village.'
