"Romance à la Boum Boum"

Indian Lake Central School’Äôs Middle School will be holding a mix of music and theatre during their 2007 Coffee House. The evening of fun, food, music and humor begins at 7:03 p.m. on June 1, 2007.

’ÄúRomance à la Boum Boum,’Äù debuts with a star studded cast.

When the play begins, ’ÄúRomance à la Boum Boum,’Äù there is excitement about the Middle School Tulips Dance. The excitement was not from the hot new DJ spinning the tunes, nor is it related to cabin fever from being cooped up for way too long. The buzz is all about a girl from France.

So begins the Indian Lake Central School Middle School play: "Romance à la Boum Boum,"

While French might be the 'language of love,' it is a stumbling block when a boy doesn't have a clue what the girl is saying --- let alone thinking. Romance is complicated enough without a language barrier or a translator with her own agenda. An old friend, and would be translator wants to be thought of as more than just friends.

Smitty and Christine have been friends since the days when they learned to color inside the lines in pre-school. It is a romance that has been germinating for 10 years and was ready to bloom at the Middle School's Spring Dance, until the exchange student shows up.

Vocal and instrumental musical selections from ILCS Middle School Music Department will round out the evening..

The Coffeehouse/"Romance à la Boum Boum" takes place June 1, 2007. Tickets are $2 for adults and $1 for students. Performance begins at 7:03 p.m. and refreshment will be available for purchase. The coffee house is a fundraiser for the ILCS Middle School.
