Elizabeth Gleason has taught art classes for over twenty-five years in several North Country communities, including Jefferson Community College and as a tutor for Empire State College. She has recently retired from the faculty of Gouverneur Central School.

A native of Collinsville, Illinois, a suburb of St. Louis, Elizabeth Gleason received her undergraduate training, receiving a B.F.A., at Washington University's School of Art in St. Louis. Ms. Gleason continued her studies at Syracuse University and earned a Master's degree in Art Education with special emphasis in ceramics and printmaking.
