Installing Netscape2.0 from floppy disks on WIN95

 

  1. You must have Windows 95.
  2. Put Disk #1 into the drive.
  3. Click on the START button
  4. Click on RUN
  5. Type the following:

    6. A:\INSTALLA.BAT

  6. Click on OK
  7. Put Disk #2 into the drive.
  8. Click on the START button
  9. Click on RUN
  10. Type the following:

    11. A:\INSTALLA.BAT

  11. Click on OK
  12. Put Disk #3 into the drive.
  13. Click on the START button
  14. Click on RUN
  15. Type the following:

    16. A:\INSTALLA.BAT

  16. Click on OK
  17. Close any windows that are shown on your screen.
  18. Click on the START button
  19. Click on RUN
  20. Type the following:

    21. C:\TEMP\N32E20.EXE

    (NOTE: 0 is a zero and not the letter O)

  21. Click on OK
  22. Netscape will appear on your screen.
  23. The window will ask you some questions:
  24. "Do you want to Install Netscape?" Click on YES
  25. You will need to keep clicking on NEXT several times. Do not change the information it suggests you use. JUST CLICK ON NEXT.
  26. When it says, "Do you want to read the read me file?", you can click on NO.
  27. When it says, "Do you want to connect to the Netscape site to continue setup?", you should click on NO.
  28. Netscape will finish installing itself and you will have an icon for it.
