How to cite electronic media
Roughly based on Xia Li and Nancy B. Crane's 1993 book, Electronic Style: A Guide to Citing Electronic Information (Meckler, Westport) ISBN:0-88736-909-X, we recommend citing electronic media in the following manner:

Citing an item from an electronic journal (such as JWA):

World Anthropology [online], 1(2). Available Telnet: http://wings.buffalo.edu.academic/department/anthropology
  /JWA/volumes/volume1/number2/julig.pap

Citing electronic mail message:

General Form:

Author
Year, month, day, time. Subject of the message (ie. subject: line) [email to: recipient's name], [online].
  Available email: recipient's email address.

Example:

Jarvis, Hugh W.
1995, April 17, 21:04:32 EST. When will we get the next issue out....? [email to: Ezra Zubrow], [online].
  Available email: hjarvis@acsu.buffalo.edu.

Citing a message from an electronic bulletin board (such as ANTHRO-L):

General Form:
