Women of Courage Profiles
In 1989 the St. Lawrence County, NY Branch, AAUW researched and published Women of Courage, Ten North Country Pioneers in Profile. This booklet featured the stories of local women who had made an impact on the North Country and were pioneers in their fields, which included education, medicine, art, politics, and music. Since the original publication, the Branch has collected material for additional profiles. If you know of other women whose story should be told, contact the branch.
