THE WINNER IS...- The winner of NorthNet's Three Free
Months Contest for the month of May was Brian Gardam of Canton.
When Mr. Gardam was informed of winnings he said, "That's
terrific! Thanks."
Remember, all residential customers are eligible for
the random monthly drawing. This contest is a way for NorthNet
to give a little something back to its loyal customers. Good

TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOPS - Four workshops are being hosted
this month by CITEC, and NorthNet is one of the proud sponsors
of these events.
"Getting Started With E-Commerce" will explore electronic
commerce technologies and how they can be a benefit to business.
"Internet Business Operations" will focus on cost reduction
and efficiency by using the Internet for routine business operations,
and compares the relative cost and efficiency of electronic vs.
traditional methods of conducting business operations.
Each course is four hours long, and these two workshops will
be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Best Western in Plattsburgh on
June 20, and again on June 21 at the Best Western in Watertown.
"E-Commerce Software & Hardware" will inform you about what
you need to know about personal computer hardware and software to
implement electronic commerce.
"Marketing on the Internet" looks into advertising and
marketing on the World Wide Web.
Again, each course is four hours long and will be held from
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Best Western in Canton on June 22.

USING AOL WITH NORTHNET - For users who wish to use AOL
through NorthNet, please be sure and do the following:
- Double click the AOL icon on your desktop, and under
the select location choose "ISP/LAN" connection. You are
now ready to sign on.
If you fail to do this correctly, it will warn you that it
wants to hang up and dial an AOL number (which you will be billed
long distance charges for). Click "Cancel" and try again, or
call NorthNet's technical support for assistance at 1-800-401-6954.
UNLIMITED ACCESS - As many of you will recall, NorthNet
announced in its last issue of "NorthNet News" that the company
has gone to unlimited access.
There is no longer a 200-hour per month plan. The unlimited
access affects every NorthNet customer.
